Welcome to Emerson Educational Consulting

Emerson Educational Consulting, founded by Marilyn Emerson, provides the resources, knowledge and guidance necessary for students and families to conduct an effective college search and to make the right college planning decisions. While many of the families with whom we work with are in Westchester County and the greater New York City area, Marilyn also works with students from Europe and Asia. Philosophy

At Emerson Educational Consulting, we believe that the college years should be a time for exploration and new experiences. Our view is congruent with the message of Dr. J. S. Lehman, former president of Cornell University, to his 2004 graduating class: "May you frequently travel beyond the places that are comfortable and familiar, the better to appreciate the miraculous diversity of life." We really enjoy helping students find exciting and challenging places in which to do this.
